Summary: The Gingerbread Man is the classic story of the Gingerbread Man who thought he could outrun anything. He outran everyone. Then, he meets a fox, and then the challenge begins.
Evaluation: This story is a classic story that is fun, and something every child should know. This particular book is easy for young children to read so this particular version would be great for younger children, and a great read aloud which can later be used when the students can read it by themselves. I read this particular version growing up in my Elementary school, so it is a great version to read.

There are many versions of The Gingerbread Man that you can study like the Cinderella versions we looked at in class today. It can be fun to use as a literature study around the holidays and combine with a cooking activity.
