Evaluation: I love this book. This was my go to read when I read this series, and I personally loved the tornado aspect of the book. This series although it has the magic aspect of the time machine tree house, it does give a sense of what time period, and what it was potentially like back in the time period when the story takes place. I enjoy these books, and I think future students will too.

DeleteOwen and I read this one as one of our very first Magic Tree House books. It is interesting how formulaic these books become after you have read a few. I think kids do not mind the repetition though as much as it bothers adults after awhile. Why do you think that is?
ReplyDeleteI think children like the familiar story lines because it is something they know, and to them it gives them a sort of comfort. I think it also is just the idea of certain children and there favorite stories. I know I had a ton I use to have my mom and dad read constantly, and it drove them bonkers.
